it’s me, hi, i’m the problem it’s me!

Good news, bad news.

Bad news: You are the problem.

Good news: You are the problem!

If you are the problem, then the solution is within your control.

Today, I'm specifically talking about frustration around feeling lost and not being able to find your purpose*.

The question of my own “purpose” plagued me for over a DECADE.

Looking back, it's like I was equally obsessed with figuring it out AND committed to not figuring it out.

I was like a deranged version of that baby bird in “Are You My Mother?”, running from thing to thing asking, “Are you my purpose??".

What I wish I had known then was that I was the problem! That the answer was not in another aptitude test, or quiz, or new job, etc. That the problem was me and the solution was me.

That a part of me really did know my purpose. And another part of me really did not want me to know. (Bc if I knew, I might have to do something about it. And I had an insane amount of fear & insecurity that I had no idea how to manage yet).

I wish someone had told me that the solution lay in resolving that internal conflict. Cultivating awareness around those two sides of me and WHY they were in conflict. Embodying my WHOLE self, so I could actually start to move forward in the direction of my purpose.

*I don't believe you have just one purpose. I believe we all have many purposes. Some are long-term and large, like a career. Some are daily, like taking a nap, smiling at a stranger, or calling a friend who's on your mind. To me, your purposes are the things (big and small) in alignment with your TRUE SELF.
